I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!!
So I just finished book 2 and I have to tell you – I AM HOOKED. What a fantastic author Sylvia Day is!
Eve of Destruction (Marked #2) basically picks up right where Eve of Darkness (Marked #1) left off. If I remember correctly, it’s approximately 2 days later but don’t hold me to that. One of the things I didn’t mention about Eve of Darkness is that it opens with an something that happens at a sporting event then backtracks. The book follows to the story leading to the main characters leaving for that sporting event. Eve of Destruction opens up with what happens AFTER the thing that happens at the sporting event and then carries on from there.
Once again, this book is PACKED with action from the very beginning! We are taken into the start of Eve’s training and from there, the story arc that started in book one is tied in.
We get to meet a whole new cast of characters and a sense of severe paranoia as we try to figure out who is who and who has what motives. The rule TRUST NO ONE just starts BLARING in your head. It’s all very exciting and keeps the story burning with intensity.
Whenever I am reading a story where there is a love triangle or even the potential for a love triangle, I always know right away who I prefer and let’s just say I repeatedly find myself wanting to punch Reed in the face hole. #TeamCain!!!!!
Once again, Sylvia Day has left me wanting more! This was an excellent addition to the story line and I am dying to get back to my house so I can grab the 3rd installment (Eve of Chaos) and START READING!
Once again, I am doling out 5 stars for this one! I can’t stress enough – if you’re an urban fantasy fan with a thing for romance (or at least some sexy scenes), YOU NEED TO READ THIS SERIES!!!
