It’s been a long time since I’ve done a regular blog post on here and I thought it was about time. We’ve got a lot going on here at Pure Textuality PR and I want to fill you all in on everything.

Incandescent Phoenix Books

Since going full-time with Pure Textuality PR, I’ve spent most of the time sick as a dog. However, I’ve still been working. I was contracted as the acting Marketing Manager for Incandescent Phoenix Books, a small press publisher dedicated to the fantasy genre. Right now, they only have five authors, but they’re growing, and it’s a learning experience for me to watch how a publishing house runs behind closed doors. And they are a small press, not vanity.

NEWS!!! Our Website Now Has Tlk.io Live Chat During Business Hours

Look to the right in the sidebar on our website and you’ll find a blue logo for the chat box. When we are here, one of us will be logged into the chat to answer any questions you may have.

When we close down each night, the chat will be removed from the sidebar, so you never have to worry about leaving a message for someone who will never get back to you. 🙂

NEWS!!! TweetDeck Going Away on April 15th!

Ugh….I was dreading the day this would happen. Twitter has announced that its super-fabulous Windows client, TweetDeck, will be shut down and no longer functional on April 15th. The upside is all the features the Windows client has are supposedly going to be integrated into the Chrome Extension, so it should just be a matter of using the in-browser version as opposed to the desktop version. I hope they keep up the Extension and don’t let that go away because I really dislike Twitter’s website user interface. It sucks. lol

I use TweetDeck every day, so on April 15th, I will see what’s what and will update the Twitter For Dummies document to include details about the Extension instead of the desktop app.

NEWS!!! Premade Paperback Flats from Pure Textuality PR Coming in April!

I’ve spent the last two months working on a side project – learning Gimp, the open source version of Photoshop. It’s a much different piece of software, but it’s completely open source and therefore legally free.

I’m working on a stockpile of premades now so I have a good selection to choose from once we make the catalog live. Once a cover is sold, it is removed from the listing, customized for that author, and then never sold again.

Pricing will be as follows:

Ebook Only – $60
Ebook & Paperback Flat – $110

All premades sold by Pure Textuality PR will also come with a free cover reveal blitz on the date of your choosing.

I’ve also done most of the cover for the #AmWriting project. I just sent the file off to ShoutLines Design (my own graphic artist) for her input and her initial response was “I don’t think I could do much better.” HUGE compliment coming from her. 🙂 She’s going to take a look at it to see if there is anything else she would add. We will be revealing the cover on April 22nd, so if you’re interested, you can sign up for the cover reveal here.

Premade covers will be listed on the Pure Textuality PR website, on the Pure Textuality PR Facebook page, and in the Pure Textuality PR Authors Facebook group.

UPDATE – #AmWriting, A Charity Publication to Benefit The Wayne Foundation

The #AmWriting project is coming along great. 🙂 We are at 75 authors and finished letters have already started rolling in. The promotions are all booking up quickly as well. A few weeks after the cover is revealed, I’m going to open a Thunderclap campaign for it as well to get as much exposure as possible.
