Blurbs Written By BookMojo:

NIGHTSHADE by Jena Gregoire (148 words)

Bourbon, jazz, and streets soaked in magic. New Orleans is an infamous supernatural playground, and the perfect place for a witch to feel right at home.

When Bonnie Bennett travels to The Big Easy for some much needed rest and relaxation, she unexpectedly encounters a few familiar faces. Despite their violent history and her resulting efforts to steer clear of Mikaelson family drama, she soon finds herself agreeing to help Klaus when his brother Elijah goes missing. Assuming they could get a little aid from the local covens, they quickly realize the eldest original vampire isn’t the only mysterious disappearance in the Crescent City.

The clock is ticking. With the help of her unlikely ally and a handful of new friends from the French quarter, Bonnie must face off with a dark force fueled by vengeance and hell bent on wiping out every New Orleans witch in existence.

HEXE by Brandy Dorsch (182 words)

Bonnie Bennett never breaks a promise, and she gave Enzo her word that she’d live her life. Rather than staying in Mystic Falls to wallow in her grief over losing the love of her life, she decides on a trip to Germany, the epicenter of the seventeenth century witch hunts. Excited to explore the depths of her magic in a country rich with witch history, she embarks on her journey, able to breathe just a little easier.

From the moment she arrives in Berlin, Bonnie knows something is wrong. Her magic is weakened, and no matter how hard she tries, she can’t access her full power. Desperate to figure out what’s wrong, Bonnie reaches out to a local coven, only to find their powers have been dampened as well.

Resolved to help her new friends and recover her own magic, Bonnie makes it her mission to figure out what’s affecting their powers. As she digs deeper, Bonnie discovers a centuries-old secret threatening an entire line of witches. Together, they must find a way to restore their magic or risk losing it forever.

TEMPLE OF THE FORGOTTEN by Alex H. Singh (118 words)

Unsure of what is drawing her there, Bonnie Bennett’s travel plans take an unexpected turn when she finds herself booking a ticket to India, a land full of mysticism, supernatural creatures, and ancient secrets.

On her journey to the small village of Simla, she meets Manu, a young, powerful witch just beginning to explore her magical abilities. Without anyone to guide her, she fears the girl may have fallen under the influence of something dark.

Bonnie soon learns the legend of a terrible evil believed to be locked away in a nearby temple. Will Bonnie be strong enough to keep the creature confined to its prison? Or will she surrender to the darkness threatening to overpower them all?

SOMETHING WICKED by Sue Harmeling (119 words)

For Bonnie Bennett, life has been nothing short of chaotic.  It seemed like someone or something was always trying to kill her and her friends, and too many times, she was forced to push her own desires to the back burner so those around her could be safe and happy.

But things were finally looking up for the witch, and the years of bad luck she and her friends had suffered through was coming to an end.

Things are blissfully quiet until a mysterious book is brought into the St. John Armory.

And it didn’t come alone.

Will Bonnie have to once more sacrifice her happiness for the sake of her friends? Or will something wicked overcome them all?

THE SECOND HUSBAND by Alex H. Singh (146 words)

Second is coming…

After an accident robs him of his memories, Johana’s husband Brandon is left little more than a stranger to her and their three children. Unsure of how to navigate their new life, they try to make the best of a complicated situation. Although he’s no longer the man she married, the more time she spends with Brandon, she find herself falling in love with the man he’s become. Brandon struggles to remember who he was before the accident, only to be further confused by flashes of memory from another life. A life where he’s known by a name he’s never heard before–Second.

Johana and Brandon are on the hunt for answers. Every stone turned over simply yields more questions. With their family caught in the middle of an ever-deepening mystery, they quickly realize that Second may be the key to unraveling the truth.

THE DEVIL YOU KNOW by Jena Gregoire (170 words)

SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE.

Following a drunken night together, the vampire Michael “Vegas” Tremayne takes off with no explanation, leaving Deziree Davanzati to wonder if they’d made a terrible mistake. Rather than obsess about it, Dez spends most of her time at Onyx, the rock club she owns and operates for the supernatural citizens of New York City. All are welcome-werewolves, witches, and anyone else willing to play nice while under her roof and pay their tab at the end of the night.

After two weeks of radio silence, Vegas returns with alarming news. For the first time in more than four centuries, there is reason to believe a pureblood demon is walking among them. They suspect someone from the Council may be behind the creature’s return, but to what end?

With the Sentinel Stone missing, they’re down to the wire and don’t know who to trust. Will Dez and Vegas stop the demon in time? Or will Hell itself be unleashed upon the world?

SPEAK OF THE DEVIL by Jena Gregoire (179 words)

SOME SECRETS ARE BETTER OFF LOCKED AWAY.

Dez is on the run from the covens. Nearly six months have passed since her father, the demon Asmodeus, opened a gateway allowing countless of his kind to spill onto our plane of existence. Using her newfound abilities to hunt down the strays, Dez’s life has become a never-ending cycle of violence and bloodshed, punctuated by the paranoia of constantly looking over her shoulder for the Council’s vampire assassin.

When she receives an unexpected phone call from an old friend, Dez makes her way to the northern Arizona desert. There she finds a message waiting for her from beyond the grave, a message forcing her to confront the one thing she’s been dreading for months.

Now Dez is haunted by a ghost from her past and faced with the secret truth of her origins. With her life and the lives of countless humans hanging in the balance, she’s forced to face off with an enemy she doesn’t even know exists. It’s time to choose her destiny and the clock is running out.

DANCE WITH THE DEVIL by Jena Gregoire (166 words)

NOT ALL DEMONS COME FROM HELL.

Demon hunting sucks. Dez and Vegas decide to take some time off to be normal for a while and quickly fall into their old routine, spending their evenings together at Onyx. Aside from a few unexpected developments with her magic, things are beginning to look like business as usual for the demon-witch hybrid and her vampire boyfriend.

A rash of mysterious deaths rock their neighborhood, all apparent heroin overdoses, and the NYPD suspects someone at Onyx is the source. Believing a new supernatural drug being peddled by werewolves is in fact the culprit, Vegas and Kade get involved in the investigation before the human police bite off more than they can chew.

Not everything is as it seems and Dez suspects there’s an unseen killer on the loose. With little more than a gut feeling as proof, she launches an investigation of her own in a race to find the killer before any more bodies turn up on her doorstep.

  1. Sue Harmeling

Jena was such a help with my blurb for Something Wicked, a Bennett Witch Chronicles novel. She took my basic idea and was able to morph it so it was cohesive. Without her I wouldn’t have a strong run down of my novel.
