Review: Iron Kissed by Patricia Briggs

Mechanic Mercy Thompson can shift her shape – but not her loyalty. When her former boss and mentor is arrested for murder and left to rot behind bars by his own kind, it’s up to Mercy to clear his name, whether he wants her to or not.

Mercy’s loyalty is under pressure from other directions, too. Werewolves are not known for their patience, and if Mercy can’t decide between the two she cares for, Sam and Adam may make the choice for her….

Iron Kissed is the 3rd installment in the Mercy Thompson series and it is fantastic. I have found that the thing I love about this series is although the books can be read in a stand alone manner, there is a great continuing story arc. I have to admit that I have been totally sucked into the ongoing love triangle struggle with Mercy, Samuel and Adam. Confession: I am totally Team Adam! I hope he wins out in the battle for Mercy’s affections.

Aside from the mushy gushy stuff, this book is far from disappointing in the action department. The book opens with Mercy being dragged into a fae murder investigation and it just takes off from there. Fierce story lines – action, drama, suspense, comedic moments, terrifying moments and endless mystery. Once again, Patricia Briggs has supplied her fans with another great page burner!! I read through this whole book in under 24 hours. And now I’m off to start the 4th in the series! Iron Kissed is a hit in my book! 5 stars!!
