REVIEW by @_Shoe_Girl_ : Turn To Me by Tiffany A Snow (@TiffanyASnow)

When Kathleen Turner, office runner for the prestigious Indianapolis law firm of Kirk & Trent, started dating the boss she knew the risks. Senior Partner Blane Kirk is known for being a notorious player – the Baskin Robbins of dating with a different flavor every month. Kathleen is the happiest she’s been in a long time, especially as Christmas approaches, but she’s always known there was a termination date on her relationship with Blane.
She just didn’t expect that termination to be her funeral.

(synopsis cont’d)
A festive afternoon of Christmas tree shopping turns life-threatening when Kathleen and Blane become targets for an unknown gunman. They make it home alive, but Kathleen realizes her boyfriend has been keeping secrets. The deadly kind.
Blane’s current case is drawing heated debate and stirring the pot of public fury. Kathleen is horrified by the threats – and worse – being directed at him. A former Navy SEAL stands accused of the wrongful death of an American citizen during a military operation overseas. The case has far-reaching political and military implications. Someone with a lot of money, and even more clout, wants Blane to lose.
As dead bodies of people connected to the defense start piling up, it becomes painfully obvious that disappearing witnesses and altered testimony are no longer enough for whoever is intent on guaranteeing the SEAL gets convicted. Kathleen and Kade, Blane’s brother and ex-FBI-agent-turned-assassin-for-hire, are on the trail of the killer.
Unfortunately for Kathleen, he’s already moved for the end-game – by painting a target on her…and pulling the trigger.

This is a classic case of “don’t judge a book by its cover'”!  While the cover is NOT bad, it is definitely something I wouldn’t generally look twice at, let alone pick up.  Since I had already read and reviewed No Turning Back, the 1st in the series, I was anxious to get my greedy little hands on this installment!
Turn to Me picks up right where No Turning Back left off.  Kathleen still works for the firm and at The Drop, and is still dating Blane.  Kathleen quickly discover that just because Jimmy was killed, does not mean that there is no one else who wants to see her dead.  Enter Kade (Blane’s brother).  Blane calls Kade back to town to be a bodyguard for Kathleen, as he has an important case that needs most all of his time, and he can’t be around to protect Kathleen.  Kade doesn’t like this idea anymore than Kathleen does but agrees to it.
Kathleen and Kade had a couple romantic interludes in No Turning Back, but Kathleen’s mind was definitely on Blane.  A real love triangle forms in Turn to Me, which usually I don’t like, but it really works in this case.  I can’t decide who I want Kathleen to end up with!!  But anyways, back to the plot….
While Blane is busy working on his high profile case, Kathleen discovers that Blane is thinking of running for Governor and there is a good possibility he’ll win.  She also discovers that he has been hiding things from her, things that could be the reason why people are shooting at her, sending body parts to her house, or trying to blow up her car.  Why is all this happening, when Kade is there to be her bodyguard?  Because she sneaks away every chance she can get.
Kade is really losing his mind.  He is starting to develop feelings for Kathleen, even though he doesn’t want to admit it to anyone (even himself), and he hates that.  He can’t take his brothers girlfriend, but on the other hand, Blane is keeping secrets from Kathleen….secrets that could be deadly.  And, Blane has been with Kathleen longer than any previous girlfriend, which leads Kane to believe that Kathleen’s time with Blane is coming to an end soon, and doesn’t want to see Kathleen hurt.
While Kathleen, Blane, and Kade are all trying to figure out how they feel, they also have to work together to find out who is trying to kill Kathleen (and quite possibly Blane), and try to figure out how to stop Blane’s witnesses from changing their testimonies at the last minute, or else he could lose this high profile, unprecedented case.
I really love all the characters in this series, there is no “useless” character.  This book was REALLY fast paced, one of those “what-happens-next? I-can’t-put-this-down!!” books.  A perfect blend of action, mystery, and romance.  I liked this book even better than the 1st!  Keep up the good work, Tiffany, and…can you write faster?  LOL!  I’m already impatient for the next book, and this one is barely out!
