It’s a fear more paralyzing than falling. More terrifying than absolute darkness. More horrifying than anything you can imagine. It’s the one fear you cannot escape, no matter where you run…no matter where you hide. It’s the fear of yourself. It’s real. It can happen to you. And facing it can be deadly.
Fear for your mind.
False Memory was an excellent read. This is one of those books that you start out reading and it rapidly changes and morphs, and the story line ends up going in a direction you didn’t see in the beginning.
The characters are classic Dean Koontz in that they are complex, yet still very personable and realistic. You can easily relate to them even though they are going through these far reaching circumstances.
False Memory is also a page burner. However, it’s still a very well written mystery. I personally found the ending a touch predictable. However, the book is written so well that I was fully entertained and genuinely wanted to keep reading, theories and all.
The events of this book are incredibly scary if applied to the real world. I don’t want to delve too deeply into it because I don’t want to give away any plot points but if these things are possible and couple potentially happen in the real world….it’s just a genuinely scary thought.
I am going to give False Memory 4 stars. It’s a solid page burner. It’s a good mystery that flows very smoothly. And the big twist at the end makes this book fully worth the read.
