Sometimes being the grim reaper really is that. Grim. And since Charley’s last case went so awry, she has taken a couple months off to wallow in the wonders of self-pity. But when a woman shows up on her doorstep convinced someone is trying to kill her, Charley has to force herself to rise above. Or at least get dressed. She quickly realizes something is amiss when everyone the woman knows swears she’s insane. The more they refute the woman’s story, the more Charley believes it.
You almost expect an “it was okay” book to come along at least once in every series. Well, so far, there isn’t one in the Charley Davidson series!! The fourth installment in the series is no less than excellent. As usual, my Hubby just shook his head at me a few times, as I burst out in laughter at Charley’s antics; he understands though…I got him to read First Grave, so he knows all about how funny Charley can be! 😉
Sarcasm: check. Copious amounts of coffee: check. Quirky characters: check. Life threatening scenarios: check. Sexual tension: check. Yep, I’d say that Darynda has another amazing book under her belt. As per usual, I can’t go into the details too much…..I geek out and give spoilers when I get excited about a book, then you’d know all the good parts and wouldn’t need to read it! Can’t let that happen….you MUST get to enjoy the book and all of Charley’s antics, minus spoilers!

I absolutely love her books. So jealous, I really want to get the 4th one but I didn’t have the time on my hands to yet. Maybe after the holiday! I miss Reyes
