GUEST REVIEW by Victoria: Hurricane Crimes by Chrys Fey

Hurrican Crimes*Hurricane Crimes is a short story.*
After her car breaks down, Beth Kennedy is forced to stay in Florida, the target of Hurricane Sabrina. She stocks up supplies, boards up windows, and hunkers down to wait out the storm, but her plan unravels when she witnesses a car accident. Risking her life, she braves the winds to save the driver. Just when she believes they are safe, she finds out the man she saved could possibly be more dangerous than the severe weather.
Donovan Goldwyn only wanted to hide from the police, but the hurricane shoved his car into a tree. Now he’s trapped with a beautiful woman while the evidence that can prove his innocence to a brutal crime is out there for anyone to find.
As Hurricane Sabrina wreaks havoc, Beth has no other choice but to trust Donovan to stay alive. But will she survive, or will she become another hurricane crime?

Beth Kennedy is in Florida trying to survive Hurricane Sabrina. She prepares like many in hopes to bunker down when she spots a car accident. She saves the driver only to find out she might be in bigger trouble than she thought. I found Beth to be gutsy and very brave.
Donavan Goldwyn is having a bad day. All he wants to do is hide and plan his next move to prove his innocence. It was hard to get a good feel for Donavan because the story was written from Beth’s point of view. I really want to know how he got in the situation he was in.
I found this short story well written. I now wonder what will happen next. Is there going to be a part two? I hope so because I want to know what is going to happen next. The characters were interesting as well as appealing. There was a lot on chemistry between Beth and Donavan. Overall, this was a great story.
