REVIEW by Heather: The Impossible Engineers (Doorknob Society Saga #2) by MJ Fletcher (@_Shoe_Girl_ , @Fletch125)

James Nightshade has been on Chloe’s mind since the day she met him. Arrogant and frustrating, she thought she had put him behind her when she chose Michael Slade.
When the secret she is seeking leads to questions about the death of Nightshade’s former girlfriend, she has no chose but to bring him into the investigation. A move she will come to regret.
Danger awaits them around every corner as they search for answers. In the end a choice will need to be made, but is Chloe strong enough to make it?

Okayyy….um, where to start?  How about OMG!  LOVED this book!  I truly went into this book expecting it to be okay/good.  I know I loved the 1st book, The Doorknob Society, but figured that the 2nd would probably be “okay”.  Hello, can you say “wrong”?  The Impossible Engineers was excellent.  Perhaps, even better than the The Doorknob Society, and {as I said} I loved that one!!!
I honestly can’t even begin to explain what happened.  I have so much to say, that I’d ramble and it’d be one huge, long spoiler and then you wouldn’t need to read the book!  I’ll just say, it was AMAZING.  There isn’t swearing, there isn’t sex {and surprisingly, I still loved it…lol} so it is good for most ages.  Actually, I think I’m going to get this for my son, who is 13.  But anyways, see…I’m already starting to ramble!
I *will* say that characters are more developed in IE.  You get a better sense of who each character is, and why they act the way they do .  There are characters that I wish I were friends with (Chloe/Nightshade/Edgar/Val/Jess), and there are characters (Faith/Caleb/Talia/Jasper) I wish I could sent through a portal to nowhere!  The book SHOCKED me at the end!  I was like “NO!!!”.  I kinda still am like “NO!”, but hopefully that will be rectified in the next book, and I think I may just harass the author until he is sick of me and hurries up to finish the next book!  😉
If you have any specific questions, I will answer them, just leave me a comment.  However, like I said, I KNOW if I try to explain the book, I will just  give out TMI, so I won’t even try!
