I’m finally home after struggling through my brother’s illness and death. But, home is definitely a bit different. My best friend (the only person alive now that knows my secret) has a new boyfriend; and he has a friend. Shane Maxton: bad boy, tattooed rock god, eye candy extraordinaire. He is also New York City’s most arrogant, self-serving, son of a, well, a definite one-night stand kind of a guy.
But, it doesn’t matter to me because I’ve spent my existence looking for the love of my life, my angel. And, there is nothing that Shane Maxton can do to change that.
Grace has lived for two thousand years as a lost soul. In her first life, she falls in love with an angel and they share one kiss before they are separated. This was something that was not allowed to happen between angels and humans back then even though they both lived on earth. As punishment, she has been doomed to search for him in vain-all due to the one kiss. Now her soul jumps from one body to another and she lives that person’s life until the death of the person and then jumps to the next. And she remembers it all. In this lifetime, her best friend is Lea and they live together in New York City. Lea is the only person that knows her secret. Through Lea’s boyfriend, Grace meets Shane, a bad boy rock singer. For the first time in two thousand years, Grace is attracted to someone other than her angel. Shane is a different girl every night type of guy. When he meets Grace that all changes though they don’t fall into each others arms immediately-at least not on purpose. Even though she has not seen her angel in two thousand years, she hangs on to his memory and will not allow herself to love again. Shane threatens everything about that existence. This is definitely a love story but it is also the story of Gabriel, an angel with his own agenda.
This is book one of two. The second one, Saving Grace, is also available now. I really enjoyed the story, the friendship of Grace and Lea and the love story of Grace and Shane. It was very well written and surprisingly to me had more action then I thought there would be. Not a vampire or werewolf in sight but still an engrossing romance with a paranormal twist. I think like me, you will be reading the next book as soon as you can due to the major cliffhanger!
Definitely 4 stars bordering on 4.5.

Thanks-I think you will enjoy the book and the second one is even better!
