REVIEW By Lorna: Saving Grace (Mad World #2) by Christine Zolendz (@ChristineZo , @Mollykatie112)

After spending over 2,000 years being a lost soul looking for the angel I was forbidden to fall in love with, I finally found him. Lucky for me he has taken up residence inside the hot body of NYC’s local bad boy, tattooed rock star, Shane Maxton. Turns out, not only is he absolutely perfect, so is the whole Grace Taylor life that I’m stuck in. The only problem is Gabriel. An archangel who wants me all to himself so he kind of kidnaps me. Now I have to find my way back and hope everything works out…

saving grace

This is the sequel to Fall From Grace, the love story of Grace and Shane.  This is really the best of the two, though I really loved both of them.  As this is the 2nd book, of course there are going to be some spoilers so this is your warning if you haven’t read the first book and want to.

When the last book ended, Grace’s body is in a hospital bed after been assaulted by an evil fallen angel. She is not expected to live. Her soul however, is still with Gabriel in limbo. She has just realized that Shane is in fact the angel she has been searching for two thousand years for.   Her angel makes a deal to let her live out her life as Grace instead of being stuck reliving others lives over and over. He has to leave Shane’s body as part of the deal. So now when Grace wakes up it is to the profound grief that she has lost her angel again. Shane is in jail for her assault and near murder and that has to be cleared up first but only after Grace is lost in grief for days plus the four weeks she was in a coma. Their reunion is tumultuous to say the least.  Misunderstandings between Shane and Grace abound this time around. The chemistry is still there between them and can only be called off the charts HOT.  And don’t get me started about Gabriel. Let’s just say, he is more demon then angel and causes quite a bit of trouble this time around.

This was a wonderful written book.. It just got better and better as I read and I didn’t want the series to end. The characters are all very well written and Shane is definitely swoon worthy!  There is supposed to be another book from Shane’s point of view and I really am looking forward to that! I give it 5 well deserved stars and I will definitely be reading any other books this author puts out there!
