NEW RELEASE REVIEW by Lorna: Sanctum (The After Light Saga #2) by Cameo Renae (@CameoRenae, @Mollykatie112)

SanctumThe Arvy threat worsens each day. They continue to destroy the hives vital fuel resources, leaving us with one option—evacuate to the largest government bunker, located in South Dakota.
The injured hive members are moved as first priority, but a disastrous even occurs on the way to our drop-off zone. We find ourselves in a ghost town, surrounded by spiteful, revenge-filled Arvies. Chaos ensues and our death toll rises. Just when we think the end has come, unsuspected help arrives. We are rescued and brought to an underground bunker.
They call it Sanctum.
With no way of reaching outside help, we must depend on each other to reach our pick-up zone, thirty miles away. If we don’t make it in time, we will be left for dead.
Time is ticking.
My name is Abigail Park. I am a survivor.

If you read books by Cameo Renae, then I don’t have to tell you how awesome of a writer she is. Her books are all Young Adult, but I think she appeals to adult readers as well. They are all bestsellers as well. With the influx of so many dystopian books, I have been very picky with which ones I read, and this series is a must read for me.
***Please note, if you plan on reading ARV-3, this review contains information about that book. I would read it first before reading any spoilers.***
The first in the series, ARV-3, told the story of Abi, a resident of an underground silo, and part of a group of survivalists. She’s seventeen, and in love with her best friend, Finn. They grew up together after a catastrophic event leaves the world pretty much dead-with the exception of the ARV-3’s, or Arvies as they are called. These are humans that were unable to find shelter from the radiation and after receiving an untested vaccine against the radiation sickness, have morphed into flesh eating monsters. After an arduous journey to a safe zone, the group are now part of a regimented life and separated most of the time from each other. Now the Arvies are outside the safe zone, and the entire group needs to leave in order to survive. This is where this book starts. Sound exciting? That’s because it was.
What I liked about this book:
This book was pretty much non-stop action, and when it wasn’t action, it was a very sweet romance between Abi and Finn. Abi may be young, but she is the complete package as a kick butt heroine-one that is actually the best shot of their group from the silo. Finn is the epitome of the swoon worthy young man, one who is also pretty kick butt as well. In this world they have to be, and have trained for most of their life for the world after the silo. They had no idea that life would include monsters. I am trying to keep this spoiler free, but will say, this book puts a new spin on what flesh eating zombies can actually do. Enough said!

What I didn’t like about the book:
I have been sitting here trying to think and I am drawing a complete blank-there just wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this book!

Who would I recommend this book to?
Older teens probably 15 or 16plus and that’s due to violence only. I also recommend that you read ARV-3 first.

Good characters, scary monsters(some that are not Arvies), romance, and action packed, what else could you want?
