The tattoos on your heart matter more than the ones on your skin.
Two years ago, Lizard Monroe was Berkeley’s newest delinquent on parole. Now she’s a hot young realtor with a great life, an awesome guy, and enough friends to chase away the ghosts of her past.
Almost.
The crystal ball has spoken – life isn’t done messing with her yet. And neither is the need brewing in the eyes of the man she loves.
The eve of Halloween approaches. And whatever the sexy poet realtor wants to believe, moving beyond your past isn’t the same as facing the future.
This is the first book in my new Witch Central series, featuring my well-loved clan of modern witches and those who love them. Light contemporary fantasy with a good dose of humor, a little romance, and characters you won’t want to leave.

LORNA’S REVIEW FROM PREVIOUS POSTING
It’s really hard for me not to gush about any books by Debora Geary because they are always a wonderful read. This is the first book in her Witch Central Series but it’s all the same characters from all her previous books.
One of my favorite characters in these books is ex-juvenile delinquent, Lizard. This book is her grown up story, since we have already had the story that first brought her to Witch Central. Lizard is still trying to make her way in the world she has found herself in. However, she has not forgotten her past, nor has she really let go of it. Josh, her computer geek/software company owner boyfriend, is still hanging in there with her. Lizard and Josh’s relationship has never been easy because Lizard has never been an easy person with anyone. She is so damaged from her rough upbringing and consequently her life on the streets, that it has taken all the love of both Josh and all her friends at Witch Central for her to start to trust.
This book has a pretty major twist in it that I never saw coming. This is always a good thing to keep me interested in any book, but really I love these books so much it probably wouldn’t have mattered much. I did enjoy this twist and hope to see more of this particular twist in the books that come after this one. No Spoilers!
Getting a new book from this author is always a treat for me. Her books typically go to the number 1 spot on the Kindle bestseller lists and for good reason. The books are always full of magic, with witches of all ages either making magic or learning how to do magic. Ms. Geary never fails to entertain with all the mischief and of course romance her witches get involved in. No black magic here, just really heartwarming characters that keep learning with each book, whether it is their craft, learning to love, trust, or even learning how to parent. These aren’t books for children, but perfectly fine for probably 14 years of age or older.
As usual, it was an extremely fast, well paced book that will keep you turning pages to see what will happen next in Witch Central. With Lizard being the main character this time, it would be a really good idea to read this author’s, Witchlight Trilogy, to be properly introduced to Lizard before you read this one. It will make a lot more sense to you I promise. You can’t go wrong reading all of her books either!
I totally enjoyed this book and gave it 5 stars.
