REVIEW by Kayla: Smart Tass by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff – FREE On All Platforms!

He’s the hot college quarterback all the girls want.

She’s the smart girl he loves to pick on.

And now that they’re all grown up, things are about to get geekin’ ugly…

My name is Tass. I’m smart, I’m driven, and I am determined not to let prankster Hunter Johnson continue raining on my parade. When we were little, he’d pull my hair and call me names. When we were teenagers, he’d throw food and tease me for being a flat-chested virgin.

But now that we’ve ended up at the same college, he’s out of his hot head if he thinks he can keep messing with my life. It’s like he’s fixated on me or something. Well, guess what, Mr. Amazefootball? I’m not that geeky little girl anymore and you do not screw with a smart woman.

So what’s my plan?

It’s definitely wild, and he’s about to find out…

Kayla’s Review

I wasn’t able to get into this story. I am disappointed with the juvenility throughout the storyline. I 100% understand this is meant as a contemporary romance, however, even as a contemporary romance, the storyline shouldn’t seem so childish. The characters acted as though they were back in grade school themselves and rather than having them act like college students they were either whiny or made out to be dumb.

The synopsis sounded really good, sadly that was all that was good. The characters lacked any substance and the storyline was lacking.

The story follows the plot of two college students enemies from grade school and details their encounters.

If your into lines such as “not the puppy dog eyes” with the inner monologue “I always caved when he displayed those puppy dog eyes” (corny and cliché I know) then this is the story for you. The story wasn’t a college romance but should have had a high school setting as it was all but mature in story plot.
