The road to Grandmother’s house has never been so dangerous.

Running from the mob was enough of a tall order, but after Charlie’s mother files a missing persons report on her, Charlie and Nikodem are forced to make a pit stop. Convinced the miserable hag is a witch after a heated confrontation, he has no choice but to deal with the problem head on.

Charlie’s not convinced and going home is the last thing she wants to do. When she wheedles a promise out of him taking murder off the table, tensions rise and the two are put in more danger than either of them could have foreseen.

But facing Charlie’s mom isn’t the worst part of her day, because after they’re heading to Nikodem’s grandmother’s house, and happily ever after might be the last thing they’re getting.
