REVIEW by Heather: Head Over Heels (Lucky Harbor #3) by Jill Shalvis (@JillShalvis , @_Shoe_Girl_)

Breaking rules and breaking hearts

Free-spirited Chloe lives life on the edge. Unlike her soon-to-be married sisters, she isn’t ready to settle into a quiet life running their family’s newly renovated inn. But soon her love of trouble–and trouble with love-draws the attention of the very stern, very sexy sheriff who’d like nothing better than to tame her wild ways.

Suddenly Chloe can’t take a misstep without the sheriff hot on her heels. His rugged swagger and his enigmatic smile are enough to make a girl beg to be handcuffed. For the first time, instead of avoiding the law, Chloe dreams of surrender. Can this rebel find a way to keep the peace with the straitlaced sheriff? Or will Chloe’s colorful past keep her from a love that lasts . . . and the safe haven she truly wants in a town called Lucky Harbor?

I freaking LOVE this series!  Head over Heels (book 3) brings us Chloe’s story.  Chloe is the “wild child” of the three sisters.  She takes risks, she’s spontaneous, she’s practically allergic to “roots”.  Staying in one place is NOT for her.  Or, is it?

Chloe is the most settled that she has ever been; she helps to run the B&B that she co-owns with her sisters.  She stays and tends to the guests when her happily-in-love sisters are with their hottie boyfriends.  She also takes off to work at other spas, using her organic, homemade products.  She has the best of both worlds right now, responsibility and freedom.  So why does she feel more discontent than ever?

Sawyer, the local sheriff pays Chloe another visit after one of her late night antics.  It seems their paths keep on crossing, him being on the “legal” side of things and her being on the “not quite legal” side.  Sawyer takes his job very seriously, so why does he seem to look the other way when Chloe is involved?  Why is he picturing her in his handcuffs, in his bed?  Unbeknownst to Sawyer, Chloe shares that same fantasy, but knows it can never happen considering that every time she goes to bed with a guy, it brings on a massive asthma attack causing her to grab her ever-present inhaler.

HOT, HOT, HOT.  That’s all I can say.  Another must-read from Jill!
